Speaking Out & Night

The only way to change the current teachings of American education is to bring awareness about the problems that exist, one cannot hope to change something unless they speak out and raise awareness for the cause. At the moment by not speaking out against the flaws in the methods of the current standard of education the United States is quickly drifting further and further behind other world superpowers. For every day we remain silent 8,300 high-school students make the life-altering decision to drop out of high-school. This ridiculously high statistic adds up to a whopping 3,030,000 high school drop outs in the United States each year. 75 percent of those high school students later become responsible for crimes in the U.S. just as holocaust survivor Ellie Wiesel once said "We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim.", in this case the Board of Education are the oppressors and students are the victims. This is because they are providing sub par education instead of quality education.  The need for action should be obvious. A change must occur in the education system in order for the United States to regain its former status as a leader in education. By doing so the United States will become a better country to live in overall crime rates will decrease and the social class will increase. The United States can no longer ignore this issue and the sooner awareness is raised the sooner education can be improved.
