Multiple Perspectives & Persepolis

Seeing America's educational system from every point of view is important because if not, the true issues of the victims - in this case being American students - are not realized. America is seen as the greatest country on Earth, this thought, mostly perpetuated by Americans themselves. However, according to the Department of Commerce, U.S. big brand name companies outsourced 2.4 million jobs overseas to countries like China and India in the 2000's. Why is this? Some people say that the reason for this is the cheap cost of labor overseas, but the fact is, cost of labor would not compensate for quality of work because with a better product, the company would make their money back and more. Education is meant to propel students into a future they cannot grasp. Kids will take a chance, they are not scared of being wrong. If one is scared of being wrong, they will never come up with anything original. In Persepolis, Marji and other girls in her position were discriminated against and robbed of their freedom of expression because no one was paying attention to their needs. NO one cared. Empathy was the core issue in Persepolis because the needs of the victims were not magnetized at all. Likewise, this is how schools are run. Classrooms are stigmatized by mistakes. Students are trained that mistakes are the worst possible things you can make. The result is, students are being educated out of their creative abilities.

The most immediate problem now, though, is that the whole system of education in America is really just a glamorous process of University entries. The consequence, is that many highly talented, brilliant, creative people, think that they're not. Because they think that what they are good at in school, was not valued. More than likely, they're gift was stigmatized all through school. America cannot afford to go on this way. Schools must join in the effort to see students' creative capacities for the richness they are, and seeing America's children for the hope that they are. See this system from the victim's perspective. So that they can face the future.
